Bogart Warhorse

In close collaboration with the Irish exceptional bassist Karl Clews, this new variant of the Bogart Basic model was created. Karl was looking for a replacement for his MusicMan Stingray. After some research and testing, a combination with an Alnico V Humbucker and the Darkglass Tone Capsule on-board preamp was found to be very good. The Humbucker is exactly in the same position as the 70's Stingray, which has a decisive influence on the sound of the bass. The 3-way split switch allows the pickup to be operated in the original coil wiring (parallel) as well as in single coil and serial mode. The filters of the Darkglass preamp are very close to those of the original MusicMan electronics. The body has an aluminum-additive outer shell as a tone-determining feature. This gives the bass an extra portion of power and warmth.

The bass has the following features:

Bogart composite body with wooden core made of spruce wood
Hand-laminated carbon neck with rosewood fretboard, 34" scale, 24 nickel silver frets
Bogart Alnico V Humbucker with 3-way split switch
Darkglass Tone Capsule Preamp
Hipshot headless tuning unit
ETS pot knobs and headpiece
Deluxe soft case
Available as 4- and 5-stringer
